We will be implementing an 802.11b network at the Linux Symposium location
to cover the talks, the main hall and as much of the Congress Centre as we
are able to get away with.
802.11b is an 11Mbit Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum wireless radio networking standard. Any 802.11 DS or 802.11B DS compliant device should work with the Linux Symposium network. Cards known to work:
The plan, we hope to have 802.11b cards available for loan (credit card deposit required) and for sale (special conference price will be offered as cheap as we're able to find them). |
