Paul McKenney

Paul McKenney works at IBM on high-end Intel platforms and in the Linux Technology Center. Prior to that, he worked on AIX and on Sequent's DYNIX/ptx operating system, mostly on parallel and NUMA kernel algorithms. As far as he knows, Sequent's DYNIX/ptx is the first OS to implement the concepts described in this paper. He has also worked on research related to packet-radio protocols and to Internet (but long before it was fashionable). Paul received his BS and MS from Oregon State University, and is currently working on his Ph.D. at Oregon Graduate Institute. Contact him at pmckenne@us.ibm.com.
