2014 Linux Symposium, July 14-16

Sandy Harris

I'm a baby boomer Canadian who has in effect had two careers. Sometimes I have worked as an English teacher, mainly because that lets me travel. At other times I have done a bit of almost every sort of computer work -- quite a bit of technical training, some programming, systems admin and testing, even sales. Mainly, though, technical writing and network security are my specialties.

I was the main technical writer for Linux FreeS/WAN.

Recently, I spent a couple of years as an editor in the Computer Science department at Shanghai Jiaotong University, improving the English in graduate students' journal or conference papers.
