Geoffroy Vallee

Dr. Geoffroy Vallée is a Research Scientist in the Computer Science Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Oak Ridge, USA. Dr. Geoffroy Vallée's primary research area is operating systems, run-time systems, system tools, and high availability for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, including virtualization challenges. He is actively involved in the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science project entitled “Enabling Exascale Hardware and Software Design through Scalable System Virtualization”. Dr. Vallée was also actively involved in the ORNL LDRD project “Virtualized System Environments for Petascale Computing and Beyond”, which aimed at studying virtualization opportunities for HPC. Dr. Vallée recevied his Ph.D. from University of Rennes 1 (France) in 2004. His Ph.D. has focusing on process management and scheduling in Kerrighed Single System Image. He made his Ph.D. in the context of a collaboration between INRIA (France) and EDF (France).
