Faults in Patched Kernel

Alexandre LISSY

In this talk, we intend to compare the faults status (using various tools such as Undertaker, Coccinelle) between vanilla kernel and distributions kernel (which are patched in several ways). Patches added might be either backports from newer version, or third-party drivers or features that are not upstream. Both are code that is not supposed to be here at first, and is supposedly less tested than code living upstream. But this is code we use, so we would like to make it stronger.
