Peter St. Onge

Over the last 15 years, Peter has worked in different environments -- VAR, financial services start up, academic, research, bioinformatics -- and the majority of these roles he has used and supported free and open source software systems as infrastructure components. He was also involved with the Simple End User Linux project (SEUL.org) in efforts to promote the user of free and open source software in research.

He first adopted Linux (or was it the other way around?) in the RedHat 5.0 / 1.2 kernel days while he was in graduate school, and has used it ever since. He is currently involved with institutional identity management and information architecture efforts at the University of Toronto, involving authentication, single sign on (web and non-web), and directory services in a highly heterogeneous and distributed environment.
