Hacker Bike Ride

The annual Hacker Bike ride started in Canberra in March 2000 and has been held each year at OLS since July 2000. Recently there have been 3 dozen riders.

This year's ride will start at 11:00 on Saturday July 17th, at http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=daly+and+colonel+by+drive,+ottawa&spn=0.017470,0.028925&hl=en the corner of Colonel By Drive and Daly Avenue just outside the Congress Centre where the Symposium is held.

We have had 3 different rides of varying difficulties in the past, ranging from an easy ride of 10km to a more advanced ride of up to 50km. All riders are welcome. Bring water and money for bike rental, ice cream and lunch.

Please email him at rgb at tricolour dot net or phone +1.613.860-2354 (with some lead time) if you might be interested to borrow one.

This year, the http://www.oclug.on.ca/ Ottawa Canada Linux Users Group is hosting their annual "Linux in the Wild" picnic on Sunday July 18th, so it will *not* co-incide with the Hacker Bike Ride this time.
