Kernel.org BoFSJohn Hawley (warthog19@eaglescrag.net)Kernel.org is one of the linchpins of Linux Kernel development. It boasts an incredibly diverse user base serving kernel developers, distributions and supporting user space programs. This past year has been a busy year for kernel.org: we have been working towards 501(c)(3) non-profit status, we are now hosting wikis for kernel related projects (ext4.wiki.kernel.org, rt.wiki.kernel.org) and we've hosted the release of several distributions. This BOF session will provide kernel developers and Linux users with an update on kernel.org related activities, and also provide a forum in which to discuss our progress, the state of the servers, ongoing challenges, and other topics of interest to our users. This will help us determine and set priorities for the upcoming year, as well as help us shape the next ten years, as this is the 10th anniversary of kernel.org's announcement. | |||||
