NUMA BoFS

Christoph H. Lameter (christoph@lameter.com)

A meeting to talk about NUMA technology. The ever increasing memory sizes and number of processors in current computer systems make the management of memory locality important for optimal performance. Talk about current and future features of NUMA memory management. A chance for those generally interested in NUMA aspects of Linux to give feedback to the developers.

It is expected that the attendees will have some basic understanding of NUMA since we do not plan to repeat the introduction to NUMA from last year. Instead we will focus on what has been accomplished in the last year, talk about work in progress, attempt to look more into the future and plan how the Linux kernel could support the higher order multi core processors.
