Ext4 BoFSMingming Cao (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Ext4 filesystem was from ext3 filesystem last year, with extents and larger filesystem support being added. There are many features have been proposed to add to ext4 in the past year. The ext4 BOF is intended to provide a face to face discussion group for the ext4 community to review the development progress. The BOF will begin with a short presentation that briefly describes the background of ext4, review recent developments, discusses directions for the ext4 project, and work on the details of the plan. Exactly topics depend on the attendees but could include: larger file support, large number of files support, preallocation, online defragmentation, delayed allocation, multiple allocation, finer timestamp, inode versioning and reduce fsck time for large filesystem.
Please join this discussion group if you are a ext3 user or general filesystem hacker, or you're just interested in the current state and future of ext4 filesystem.
