Moving Forward to Deploy Real, Seamless IPv6 Ready Platform

As we discussed last year, Linux kernel itself achieved enough quality to obtain IPv6 Ready Logo Phase-1. As a result of our contiguous effort, Linux kernel is now considered ready to obtain IPv6 Ready Logo Phase-2 as well.

On the other hand, several important applications such as http, ftp or smtp etc. do support IPv6 as well, and many distributions seem to ship them. We, however, know there are missing-pieces. For example, some administration tool are not ipv6 ready, and some configuration files are uneasy to manage. People often need to explore their own way to go.

In this meeting, we will report current status of the development. We will also discuss missing pieces toward the deployment of IPv6 ready platforms on which IPv6 can be used seamlessly.
