Memory Hotplug BOF

This BOF will deal with the continuing effort to make Linux handle dynamic amounts of memory more effectively. The target will be developers and testers interested in the future of and impact to the memory management code in the Linux kernel.

An increasing number of architectures and platforms have varying amounts of memory available to them after boot. These include everything from mainframes, to large servers, to high-performance NUMA systems. This BOF will first highlight the different platforms' needs, and will draw on the participants to provide the latest information. We will then explore how the current implementation differs from any requirements that the participants may have.

In addition to discussing the memory hotplug implementation, we will also review the status and impact of peripheral projects such as the memory migration and node hotplug.
