Distbuilder: A System for Building Cross-Compiled Distributions from Source

The DistBuilder BoFS is an opportunity to discuss automation of building and maintaining large numbers of custom Linux distributions. We will discuss some of the abstractions we have found useful when building and using TimeSys DistBuilder. We will start off with a brief introduction to TimeSys DistBuilder, a custom distribution maintenance system built around the Red Hat comps.xml file, with a particular emphasis on embedded systems and cross-compilation. Discussion is not restricted to TimeSys DistBuilder alone. Similar open source projects are within scope.
