LSB: The Road Ahead

The Linux Standard Base is a project to develop a standard around the core services (libraries) available to GNU/Linux systems - it describes a programming platform portable applications can code to. The LSB also serves as a forum for the community to work to resolve compatibility issues. There have been quite a few developments in the LSB project in the past year, including major new releases, the addition of C++ support, and submission of the LSB core as ISO Draft International Standard 23360. In this BOF, interested parties are invited to come discuss with LSB team members where the LSB should evolve in the future to become an even more useful standard, including potentially working on a desktop module, as well as ask questions about the current status.
