What does obtaining Security Certification for Linux really mean?

There had been considerable skepticism about whether open source code can ever be certified. We have proved the skeptics wrong by completing 4 security evaluations for Linux. We currently have one more underway. We will start by sharing our experiences with the completed evaluations. These have been a fairly significant effort with a lot of resources spent. But, what do these evaluations really mean? Does this mean Linux is more secure than before? Can a virus attack certified Linux? Does this mean open source is more secure? Can I trust Linux more now? Is certified Linux more secure? This BOF will explore these intriguing questions with a lot of audience participation.
