kobjects and krefs - lockless reference counting for kernel structures

This paper will describe the current kobject and kref kernel apis in detail. It will cover the wide range of usages that these structures are good for, how to use them properly, and how they are implemented. It will touch on the interaction between kobjects and sysfs as the building blocks on top of which the kernel driver core is created.

But as that makes for a boring talk, my presentation will go into what's wrong with the current kobject implementation and what will be changed in it for 2.7. It will also cover how to not use a kobject, including real life examples in the current kernel source tree. Questions about the driver model and kobjects are welcome and will provide fodder for the majority of the presentation.
