Juan J. Quintela
He begin using Linux in 1994 while studying his Computer Science
degree. He has been doing his PhD in Persistence in Lazy Functional
Languages since 1996 to the date. He has worked as a "Profesor
Asociado" in the Computer Science Department from February 2000 to
February 2001. He begin to work as a kernel hacker for MandrakeSoft
from February 2001. He was a user/administrator of Linux systems
since 1994. While doing his PhD thesis he found that the Linux kernel
hangs in some of his programs. After waiting for "anybody else" to
fix the problems, he decides that it it a good idea to try to "fix"
them himself. Since that moment, the work in his PhD thesis has
ceased. And now he is doing Kernel programming instead of his PhD
thesis.
