Jeff Dike

Jeff Dike is a MIT graduate who worked at DEC (RIP) for a number of years in its Unix engineering group until he finally managed to get himself laid off.

User-mode Linux is his first Open Source project. It was started in Feb. 1999, had its public debut in June 1999, and has continued to improve since.

He is interested in things which are neither fish nor fowl (hence a kernel which is also a process), is an avid hiker, a Baroque music fanatic, and frequenter of #kernelnewbies.
