Scyld Beowulf, An Integrated Distribution for Scalable Clustering

Scyld has introduced a new framework and set of tools for constructing single system image Beowulf clusters. The Scyld Beowulf system uses the 'BProc', Beowulf Process Space, kernel extension as a focal point of a cluster operating system distribution that has been widely deployed for production use. This talk will describe how the Scyld Beowulf system works, how we use it to simplify installation and administrative, and the architectural model and interface it provides to kernel and application developers.
