2000 Linux Symposium

July 19-22nd, Ottawa, Canada

Ottawa is the Capital of Canada, and is alive with active Linux development. With such a beautiful city, and so much Linux work happening Ottawa was a natural choice for an event to bring together Linux developers from around the world.

In 1999, OLS started as a way to bring together a large group of geographically diverse Linux developers. The key to the event was operating at a grass roots level and tailoring the event to developers and not to the general public.

There is no trade show floor, there is however many very interesting technical talks and a very active social schedule.
